Goose fat chips

Step 1 - spread normal chips or fries on oven tray
Step 2 - spoon silly amounts of goose fat onto chips spread around in dollops
Step 3 - cook for 20-30 minutes
Step 4 - read PETA site
Step 5 - consume the chips soaked in the fat from a dead animal

RE: Goose fat chips

People eat geese in your country?  I see hundreds of those Canadian geese things around but they are protected.  They *** everywhere.  I do not know how tasty they would be since they live in garbage.

I think farm geese would be ok to eat.

Making oven fries with extra grease would taste good but seriously mess up the cooker.  What do you use to clean the oven?

RE: Goose fat chips

Isn't the primary commercial use for geese fattening them up and making pate out of their livers?

I imagine that once the goose has had its liver removed there would be a very fat (and dead) goose left over. Hence the supply of goose fat.

Do they sell goose fat in the supermarket in Blighty? I have never seen it.

What I understand about pate or goose fat liver; this delicacy is very controversial.  I've seen pictures of how this food is obtained.  Geese are force fed very fattening foods to the point where their stomachs are full enough to make them extremely uncomfortable in order to obtain fatty livers.

I've never seen goose fat sold here in the USA.
