RE: Lemonade diet
Kellogg a crackpot! Never! He gave us all those wonderful sugary breakfast cereals!

He invented corn flakes so that workers would have enough energy to work, but by the evening would be too tired to masturbate or have sex.

RE: Lemonade diet
Has anyone tried the lemonade diet or master cleanse?
It is just drinking lemonade made with fresh lemons, water, maple syrup, cayenne pepper for a few days. In the mornings you are supposed to drink water with sea salt.
Wow, this is what I thought it was going to be. At my old school I had these friends whose family did that. It looked gross! I never tried it!
It has molasses in it, and it's a little different. You're supposed to substitute the drink for regular meals. Make sure you leave in the pulp. I've never done it, but my Coach has. It's not a diet so much as a way to fast from solid foods.
@1234 - I was waiting for an opportune moment, and now I can't. *THROWS COMBUSTIBLE LEMON AT 1234*

RE: Lemonade diet
I was friendly with a woman at work who was obese. But she had a very illogical way of trying to lose weight: she'd eat something that she really shouldn't have, for her size, (a couple of slices of chocolate cake or pizza or Kentucky Fried Chicken *shudder*) then would add a diet-coke or diet-lemonade afterwards, to "fill her up". I always wondered at the logic of that. Shouldn't she already be full from whatever it was she'd eaten?
And she used to complain to me that I was only a little slip of a thing, and it so wasn't fair, since I didn't like food anyway! Useless to complain that I DO like food, very much, but I know what will happen if I break out of my 1000 calorie a day maintenance, so I don't indulge. If I do indulge, then I exercise to the amount I over-ate. That's very different from not liking food.
But she seemed to think I had some "magic formula" and just wasn't sharing...

RE: Lemonade diet
Excuse me for asking, but how on earth do you survive on 1000 calories per day?
Friends will let you be who you are. Best friends will never let you forget it. I'm just trying to be everyone's best friend.

I developed Hashimoto's Thyroiditis in puberty (the specialist thinks, from the amount of damage) but it went undiagnosed until I was in my forties.
The thryoid controls the bodies energy output. Not having a functioning thyroid means that my body temperature is extremely low, on a good day it only staggers up to 34 degrees celsius, and I've been down as far as 31 degrees. My heart rate is around 45 beats a minute, as compared to a healthy adults 70 (resting rate).
I'm cold a lot of the time, even in summer, and tired a lot of the time, as well, due not to fatigue so much as not being able to pick up my energy levels. I'm now on Thyroid replacement hormone, but the specialist said that it can only do so much: my body has become used to decades of limited energy output, so it's pretty much set in it's ways, now, despite the hormone.
Add to the noxious mix that I also have Lupus (mildly, thank God) and my health is a bit of a problem.

RE: Lemonade diet
Hot day-um! You're colder than me. I about 97 degrees Fahrenheit(36 degrees Celsius), give-or-take a few points in the tenths place. Generally 97.4, but it varies.
