Asperger's Are Us
Genocide is defined as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, social, political, economic, intellectual, familial, genetic, or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."

Finally, something good... reminds me of my old acquaintance who said he liked the way I could pun so well and attributed it to Asperger's Syndrome...
This is cool,I think. I would like to see them on ''Comedy Central, the exposure would then be world wide, and they more than likely would receive high ratings.

RE: Asperger's Are Us
That is a MYTH that Asperger people don't have a sense of humor. They're just conditioned to suppress it because other people don't think it's funny, think it's stupid, or think it's gross. I hope "Aspies Are Us" produces a CD. That would be great.
Keep in mind, Dan Arkroyd is Aspie. He was very funny in "The Blues Brothers".
I beleive the likes of "South Park", "Beavis and Butt-head", "The Family Guy", "The Cleveland Show", "American Dad", "The Simpsons" and "Duckman" has particular appeal to the Aspie sense of humor. Most "respectable" people wouldn't see anything at all funny in these shows; yet they do sometimes evoke hard-core belly laughter.
Other people see me as serious. True I'm not usually in a good mood. I'm not really happy (although I'm alot happier than I was in my second marriage). Put it this way, I'm usually very grumpy because of my accumulated sense of despair. But I think of funny things from these cartoons or other funny incidences that most other people wouldn't think was funny and it helps to lighten my mood. I stim over alot of such "isms" when I'm taking a shower in the morning, for example.
Again, I'll say it is a myth that Aspies are seriousef. OOOPS! I mean funny. (fun-E, serious-F) This is an example of my "opposite" humor which started at 5 years old; not unusual for an Aspie. I share it with my father and one of my brothers. When a word's syllables sound like a letter, when I coin an "opposite", I'll use the next letter in the alphabet. A 1980's psychiatrist called this sort of thing "Sesame Street Syndrome".

RE: Asperger's Are Us
For sense of humor, us aspies have different styles of humor, which sometimes can range from lighthearted to cynical and fatalistic. I happen to have a cynical and fatalistic sense of humor.

If your enemy is choleric, seek to anger him.
