I'm writing a book about the Autistic Culture
Just like the title of the thread says, I am writing a book about our culture, knowing that my two year anniversary since joining AFF is coming up in two days GMS time. I am wondering if its a good idea to have a fictional setting like the message board? I know it isn't much so far... just writing a rough draft here and there.... yet to understand it, I already was a part of it. Already was a part of the things that are just beginning.
Then again when the two days come all I would want to say is Happy Anniversary of two years on AFF, and for me to get along with the Book, and hopefully willing to share the ideas with you guys.
Thanks again,
Genesis

It's good you're going to have everyone's perspective in it! The Aspie supremecist will balance out the NT supremecist a bit! Then the NT supremecists will realize we can be intimidating too and that we therefore aren't so disabled.
Genocide is defined as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, social, political, economic, intellectual, familial, genetic, or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."

This is going to be a good book.
Deviate from the form of nothing
Deviate from the norm to something
Deviate from the form of nothing
I deviate, farewell to the tribe
Soul volcano
Now erupting
Lava swallows
What used to be
Soul tsunami
Overflowing
Overriding
Reality

I'd rather see the aspie supremecist being presented as more of a fringe archetype. Yes, they exist, but most of us don't agree with them the majority of the time. I think it's a more powerful message to say that most of us choose not to go down that road.

I disagree. I believe that doing so would infantilize readers, and it would send the message that there is only one correct viewpoint. Readers are able to come to their own conclusions about political issues without the author holding them by the hand and leading them through the desired reasoning process. Furthermore, the fact that a person does not agree with an opinion is not a good enough reason for that person to denigrate that opinion prima facie. I believe that all viewpoints should be presented on their own merits.
Semicolon:
-An efficient way to join two independent clauses together.
-A formal type of list delineator.
-A coding symbol used in several languages.
-A very useful punctuation mark.

RE: I'm writing a book about the Autistic Culture
Fair enough. I was just afraid some people might assume that the majority of aspies are supremecists. I'm sure most of us have encountered at least a few people that already think that.
