Can nose picking be considered as stimming?
I pick my nose and lips alot, is this autistic stimming?
I also used to rock my leg back and forth ina swinging motion when i would sit at the dinner table and my dad would always tell me to stop,
if he catches me pulling my lips when im around him he smacks me or my hand away.
Can nail biting be stimming also?

I do too and bite and tear off skin on my lips and cheeks.

If I offended you, please let me know via pm. I tend to do it without realizing it. I can be clueless as to how my humor comes across. Please be nice about it.

I wouldn't count it as stimming, I would just say a habit thats hard to break.

Nose picking can be considered gross. Especially if you work in the food industry.
I have a friend who constantly wipes his nose with the palm of his hand, and then he gets upset when I won't shake hands with him.

I would agree, especially if you can not stand feeling any thing blocking your nose up and have got to get it out of there. I do have a question though. Is messing with the hear on my forehead stimming or no? I tend to do this when trying to figure out a school assignment in college, and one other student said that this is what I was doing. To me, this is only a way of concentrating on the problem as I am attempting to solve it.

Nose picking's bad rap is entirely undeserved, if you ask me.
