First assignment back from OU

Email just now:

Quote:
Your assignment has been marked and is ready for you to collect.

Follow this link to collect your marked assignment http://www.open.ac.uk/student

(If you submitted your assignment by email, the assignment will also be returned to the email address from which it was sent.)

You should read the file entitled 'Assessment Summary M263 00 (pt3).htm' first as this contains your tutor's overall comments on your assignment. Your tutor may also have added additional comments on your marked script.

I got 18/20, and that was only because on one question I didn't read it properly and the other I didn't check the course website errata. Otherwise i'm rather pleased with the results.

TUTOR'S COMMENTS AND ADVICE TO STUDENT:

Well done Gareth,

An excellent start to the course!  You appear to have successfully set up the WorkPad and accessed the practical sessions. It also seems you have a good grasp on the first part of block  1.
I have annotated your script, let me know if you have any problems seeing my comments.

Isn't OU great?

By the way, I just read about a company that was printing printers. Rep-rap or something like that. Thought you might be interested. No idea how far they got with this as yet.

NT but odd!

Good!Wink Apparently they are trying to make them cheaper.

What really appealed to me (as a mum) was the idea that you just melt some sandals that don't fit your kid anymore, then throw in a plastic bottle, and simply print the next size sandals. Sounds like a dream to me, especially as my kids prefer always to have the same shoes as before.

NT but odd!

I'm doing S330 (Oceanography). I got 92% for my first assignment and 67% for my second.

As the player's breath warms the fipple the tone clears.
It is time to consider how Domenico Scarlatti
condensed so much music into so few bars
with never a crabbed turn or congested cadence,
never a boast or a see-here; and stars and lakes
echo him and the copse drums out his measure,
snow peaks are lifted up in moonlight and twilight
and the sun rises on an acknowledged land.
