RE: Every TV show that I love gets cancelled?
Did anybody here ever catch "Carnivale"? We watched the whole series (starting in the middle, so it was a bit confusing until we saw the whole thing on DVD from the start!) and have the full boxed set. There was meant to be another series, but it didn't get enough interest, or whatever, so we were left hanging, with our hero on the verge of death and one of our fave characters (Jonesy) apparently shot, but whether or not he was dead, we will now never find out.

Carnivale was dark, realy enjoyed it, cant believe there wasnt another series as 1 of the best i've seen, and was needed.

RE: Every TV show that I love gets cancelled?
I loved the HBO show Carnivale, and it was cancelled after two seasons due to costing too much. No fair. There were apparently talks of wrapping it up in movie or graphic novel form, but I don't think that ever happened. To be entirely honest, a graphic novel wouldn't do it for me. I wouldn't be able to hear Justin Crowe talk! That's the highlight! Sometimes I'm the auditory equivalent of someone who watches shows/movies just because the actors in them are good-looking. . .terrible. Not that there aren't legitimately engaging things to like about them, of course! Just. . .deep, resonant voices. . .yes.
EDIT: Should probably have read the thread before posting. Lazy. But yes. It was dark without being at all corny, in my opinion. The world became very absorbing. And of course, Justin Crowe. Ha-ha.

It's not suprising that Clancy Brown, who played Brother Justin, is also a voice actor as well as a regular actor. Did you know he also did the voice of one of the characters in Sponge Bob Squarepants? (Thanks to my daughter for that little bit of info!)

Yes. I forgot his name and didn't feel like looking it up on IMDB, haha! The first voice acting list I recognized him from is one of the Crash Bandicoot video games, actually--he played the bad guy, Dr. Cortex. He's one of the go-to menacing evil voices, hehe.

I feel your pain. A couple of shows I like, "Pan Am" and "The Playboy Club" (they're both intelligent, period dramas set in the 1960s) are either cancelled ("The Playboy Club") or at the risk of being cancelled ("Pan Am"). P.S., I'm a big, history buff and that's why I like those shows.
