Hard to choose, but I'm going with Buddy Guy for the moment.

Not got a fave guitarist but do have a favourite piece, don't know who it is, it's on a class track by PIL called 'Ease', married with some incredible rythm.

meredith godreau (aka gregory and the hawk). there, that makes it three Smile

it's weird actually, there's quite a few bands out there with female bass players but not many guitarists. no idea why.

There's also Orianthi Panagaris, the young Greek-Australian guitarist who once performed with the late Michael Jackson (as seen in "Michael Jackson: This Is It").

Why isn't she as well-known as Eddie van Halen or Slash?

As the player's breath warms the fipple the tone clears.
It is time to consider how Domenico Scarlatti
condensed so much music into so few bars
with never a crabbed turn or congested cadence,
never a boast or a see-here; and stars and lakes
echo him and the copse drums out his measure,
snow peaks are lifted up in moonlight and twilight
and the sun rises on an acknowledged land.

RE: Favourite/Best Guitar Player

okay STILL, my fave is still Jimmy Page. (again - girls are so not into looks like guys are - attitide/intelligence/talent is more attractive)

In response to why not many females guitarists are mentioned: (I may very well like a femal guitarist but I don't like watching their faces like a male when (he) is really into it... so I am sexist in a sex ish kind of way.(hmm - probably should not post this)

who else loves Jimmy?

lol ok so Padge is Michael Paget, he and Mattew Tuck are the 2 guitarists in the Welsh emo/metalcore band "Bullet For My Valentine" formed in 2002

Jona Wienhofen, is an australian guitarist, he used to be in the Australian band "I Killed The Prom Queen" formed in 1998, but now he is the guitarist for the Sheffield metalcore band "Bring Me The Horizon" formed in 2003

Angel Ibarra <- thats the right spelling i checked the cd case lol, is the guitarist for the Seattle emo band "Aiden"
