Studying Techniques

"The year has 365 days for studying.
Having in mind that there are 52 Sundays in one year, there are only 313 days left.
The summer has 50 days, being too hot for work and all, so you have 263 days.
We sleep 8 hours per day, and summing them up in a year we sleep 122 days, leaving 141 days.
If we don't do anything for 1 hour a day, that's 15 days less, leaving 126 days.
We all spend 2 hours a day for our meals, losing 30 days of the year, so we're left with 96 days for studying.
We spend 1 hour each day talking on the phone, msn, facebook, etc. losing another 15 days, leaving 81 days.
We have a minimum of 35 exam days in a year, and we can't study while having the exam, so we're left with 46 days.
Winter and spring break + religious and national holidays are about 40 days all in all, leaving a number of 6 days.

Let's say we're sick minimum 3 days in the whole year, so we can study for only 3 days in the whole year...
If we go out only 2 times in the whole year we're left with 1 day.

But that day is your birthday, so...
Good luck with your exams "

I read the above on another forum once, and it got me thinking as to what sort of techniques there are for studying faster when stressed

I asked my friend who says if you study for 2 hours, have a nap for half an hour, wake up and have a glass of water then study for the 2 hours again, continuing all day you will learn it fast.

Personally I just sit back watching movies with all my notes printed out on paper and I read through it highlighting things I dont know/remember, or the part of it I dont remember/know, then read all the highlighted parts of that day before I go to sleep.
.
Another method I use is writing threads as you will see soon when I post some here if thye are high quality enough
.
What techniques do you have?

RE: Studying Techniques

When studying for my second degree in my not-quite-middle-age I discovered that actually going to classes was pretty helpful. Smile

First time round, I didn't go to classes very much (pubs were open or my bed was more comfortable) and then tried to learn it all at the last minute.  I had lots of resits, once managed to miss an exam altogether, and didn't get a very good degree.

in school I used to drink at dinner times, but grew out of it with my partner... I usually sit in lectures Extremely bored because they seem to explain every sentence 20 times, so I prefer just studying beforehand, ask anything I am unsure of,    and if I understood it all I just sit on my laptop/netbook/ipod to avoid the repetition (repition is one of the things that really get to me)

RE: Studying Techniques

There are so many techniques for studying. The first time, I am not in categories (bars are open and my bed was more comfortable) and then tried to learn all this in the last minute. Restoration had a lot of miss having achieved a full examination, and did not get very good.
