#2.  Does NOT count, he is not  a man.
3.  I think "people" read into things more than need be.  What possible gaffes could there be? Only embarrassing/disrespectful thing would be if he or you didn't wash or brush teeth or hair before going out.

4.  If the girl going out with a guy the first time thinks it is okay to look out for things he has done wrong.,,(being overly critical) then the person should not date (as that is not nice).

okay well im the best friend and this is my first date 2 and we were all friends first but i would NEVER judge her by how she acts around a boii she likes. i mean she doesnt judge me when i spaz with my boyfriend y would i judge her normal spazy self with a spaz. ~ANP(aka the "normal" one)~


BAM~ Okay this is AspieGrrrl now~ All four of us are spazy. Him and I both happen to be extra spazy and weird. Our besties have dealt with our kind of spaziness long enough to not care. AND we(he and I) have dealt with NTs long enough to know that these people we picked for best friends aren"t as harsh as many we have seen.

This is the Bestie again and u can ALWAYS be embarrassed by people, even if u like them allot. i get embarrassed by AspieGrrl all the time and i love her 2 death (no homo) sisterly love. and even my bf embarrasses me sometimes. and as said in #4 it is not nice. but do u want all the overly critical people in the world to stay single forever????? cuz tht would leave allot of people single forever. me being one of them. but i do not hide away from the world and i get my bestie out as much as possible. cuz i refuse to give up on her. ~ANP~

critical.  that's the reason all of us became friends in the first place.

It's natural to be nervous (which is what I'm sure was meant by the word "terrified") when doing something new that matters to you, I think that almost everyone is nervous on a first-date, especially a first-date-ever.

Lots of Aspies have problems finding someone because they are too nervous (there are more than a few adults on this forum who have reported significant problems in finding a SO).  I think that Aspie teenagers who have been diagnosed have things easier than those who haven't.  They can work around things that they find difficult and their potential SO will be more likely to make allowances for things that they do differently.

Never got to see Iron Man 2 on a date or not.  If nobody got this he's an aspie too(mentioned in the 1st post, but it wasn't super obvious.)  Still happy as clams.  Saw a Fireworks show together on the 4th instead.  Recently expanded my horizons(technologically speaking).  Now instead of just computers I use DS and (sometimes) X-BOX.  Thanks for pitching in with the advice.  Just was my usual nutty self.  Cheers!

I've been in this relationship(if you start counting at the day he asked me out) for a whole year now.  Wow.  I'm in a happy sort of shock right now.
