Britain has banned them.  I do not favor that type of thing, banning people on ideological grounds that is.  

Frankly, I don't have much of an opinion on them either except that they are a great advertisement for individuality and free thought as opposed to any church, government, or educational institution enforcing group think.

I'm sorry, but they are the embodiment of christianity. Every thing they teach is taken from the bible.

BRuce they do promote hate. Check youtube, there is a video called the most hated familly in america (or something like that). Check them out.

OK, that part's not really an argument with me, now. Apparently, IF they are, there's still a debate about whether or not they should be banned, anyway. What, then, would I do, if I did agree? I'm out of this one, it's just like 'normal' arguments & I was fed up of those long ago, sort it out amongst yourselves

Rightwingers are very selective in interpreting the Hebrew and Christian Bibles.

Sodom and gomorah were destroyed because of sexual depravity. Genesis. (supposedly first hand account: Lot was Moses cousin).
Hence the name sodom became sodomy in a lot of language. (french, english)

I dont think they should be banned or silenced. Nobody shouild ever be, no matter what *** they say. Ever. The right to say anything should never be infringe upon. With that right also come the critic tough. So if you can say anything, be ready to get critize.

Genesis 19:3

Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”

The angel were sent to judge the city to see if there was enough good men to not destroy it. If they would have found ten, god would not have nuke it. But they didn't since all the men, young and old, wanted to have sex with the angel.

I've been familiar with that since Sunday School.... what year was that?

They did attempt to have sex with the Angels, and this was part of the sin.  But, the sin was lack of compassion, which could manifest as sexual predation.  

I am not suggesting that the Hebrew Bible approves of homosexuality, as some verses plainly attest, just that it was not a fixation for the ancient Israelites the way that it was for the Greeks and Romans of the west.

Western culture has focused on sex a great deal.  My sense is that such a focus is more Christian than Jewish.

I think Israelite fixate way more on it then Greek or Roman. After all you would not be stone to death in Greek or Roman city for being gay, wheras in Jewish city it was a crime you could die for.
