RE: Diet Affects Autism?

I've heard that diet can affect autistics and their health but I'm on the border of believing it or not. I've heard gluten will trigger episodes of acting out in aspies but I eat gluten all the time and I don't act any differently then. While I'm nether say it's true or it is a myth and cannot figure out where I stand on the topic, I believe it may be dependent on a person's own body. Just like how some people are allergic to cats and break out worse than others, maybe certain foods are more sensitive to that person's stomach and boby than others.

Hey now, hey now
Don't dream it's over.
Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in.
They come, they come
To build a wall between us.
You know they won't win.

GF/CF, eliminating HFCS, MSG, Most Phenols has helped my son and myself regarding to OCD, stimming, ADD/ADHD, sleep....
I like my son had higher levels of Strep and Yeast which for my son = Pandas and excessive ocd.
Glutathion ointment, and low dose of amoxicllin has helped him a lot.

RE: Diet Affects Autism?

I noticed that additives, msg, and gluten make me more prone to depression.

My bowels are also extremely sensitive to wht I eat, which is quite common for those on the spectrum to have gastrointestinal issues such as those.

I know the feeling............I have IBS too and had a "fun" time a year ago getting a CAT scan and drinking that "delicious" chalk crap. I see an acupuncturist who's a Osteopath and regular adjustments and yearly "tuneups" with the needles, moxa.....helps me too.

I have tried but I'm a meat eater with long arms dragging on the ground....lol....I just can't do it. My wife and a few of our friends are vegetarian and some are vegans......
I can't....I smell bacon or a grill and I get the call of the wild....
