I miss having a garage, we had to convert it to a downstairs bedroom for my mother when she lost all ability to walk.
Used to be able to do various demo type reactions for the kids that live on my road, hopefully fostering an interest in the sciences. And much more storage space besides.

Now I've got to use the drawers under my bed etc just to keep my labware in (had to replace the lot, the first time I got raided, and locked up)

Although still...the new setup owns, although I had to pay quite a lot for it all. Does help to have a sharp eye for a bargain though.
