Did the mass murderer have Asperger's?

I don't remember hearing anything about that when it happened.  I can find speculation on the internet but it is all he said/she said garbage.

I am still researching, it looks like a lot of people suspect, but I have yet to find any kind of evidence that convinces me.  Nothing I have read so far couldn't be attributed to another condition equally likely and as far as we know he was never evaluated.  I try to avoid researching school shooters, particularly this one as when it happened I was so disturbed I couldn't function, but I am too curious to stay away so I will keep looking for a while.

On topic - no, no evidence was ever found that he was an aspie - "merely" bullied past the breaking point.

They suspect he was autistic... If you research it although I dont know how reliable the sources are. Thank god that the media didnt over hype that or we would be even more misjudged.

Nobody reputable claimed he was autistic, just the usual suspects.

I am not claiming he was autistic. Although according to his parents he was and had many of the characteristics. The main reason of this thread is to point out that as part of the autistic community many people are unaware as to the possibility that Cho was an autistic. JUST BE THANKFUL THAT THE MEDIA DID NOT OVER HYPE THE POSSIBILITY OR PEOPLES PERCEPTIONS WOULD BE QUITE WORSE.

i've heard he might have been, too. but still. i hope most people wouldn't be so stupid as to judge an entire group of people based on one particular person.

I've found that whenever you feel the urge to say, "I hope most people wouldn't be so stupid as to..."

The odds are pretty good that whatever you say to complete that sentence will be a perfect description of exactly what most people will do.

However in this case I think most people have just forgotten the whole thing.

For once the media got it right by not overplaying the Virgina Tech Autistic mass murderer possibility...he definitely exhibited Aspie/Autistic traits and Praise the Lord the media spared us.
