I don't know anything about the JRC situation, either, but it sounds like it was pretty bad.

What has happened?

One or two people do not a boycott make. I agree with Lizzy that you shouldnt try to punish a whole state. Write letters to state senators or congressmen. They will be ignored also, but much more effective plan

I'm not anti-social; I'm just not user friendly

Finally, I am getting noticed on this forum.

Anyways, I doubt a boycott with only two people would work.

State senators or congressmen would ignore this. They aren't for the Asperger's/Autistic rights movement. It's hard to get political people on our side. Especially when some of them are ignorant and unaware about what the issues are.

All we can do is educate and inform.

Boycotting only works when you have a significant portion of the population doing it. It also generally works better against companies than states. If you try to boycott Massachusetts you'll just alienate Bay Staters. I do have a bias as a Massachusetts resident myself though but I am just telling the truth.

Dodging the language filter by changing one letter is not permitted. Or two. Or three. Etc. Impulsiveness is one thing, but this is a message board. You've got plenty of time to think about what you're writing before hitting the 'submit' button.  Furthermore, I've mentioned this to you before, so you may consider this a CAUTION. ZodRau

OMG, for some reason, Black Butterfly, I burst into laughter when I saw your spelling of "torture" because it's like "tourtiere" (meat pie... probably didn't spell that right lol). But you just motivated me to send letters to them again! In my last one I called the place a konzentrationslager, I think.

Genocide is defined as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, social, political, economic, intellectual, familial, genetic, or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."

I'm sure they'll take you calling them Nazis very seriously. If we want them to change, i doubt name calling like a 13 year old troll will help.

RE: Boycott Massachusetts!

Black Butterfly has a good idea... Aspies who want to take part can stay with Aspies who do not live in Masachusetts...

Violet Yoshi, I know that calling people names is ***, but both of us can't help it because we have communication problems we have to work on (like not knowing nicer words), right? Big Grin
