Parent Satisfaction Survey
Please help! My name is Jenny and I am currently completing my master’s degree in Human Behavior from National University. I have worked with children of all ages on the autism spectrum for the past six years and have chosen to focus my thesis project on autism. I have created this survey in order to study parents’ reported feelings of satisfaction with intervention services that their child has received.
Requirements for participating in this study are that your child has been diagnosed with either autism or Asperger’s Disorder and have received at least six months of intervention services, either ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) or DIR/Floortime therapy.
If you have a few minutes, I would greatly appreciate your participation! Just click the link below!
link removed -you didn't ask permission.
Thank you,
JennyY

RE: Parent Satisfaction Survey
You will need to PM Gareth for permission to post the survey.
Rule 1. Never, ever, give up (mind blanks excepted)
Rule 2. Refer to rule 1.

RE: Parent Satisfaction Survey
Since this individual has already spammed on IRC in an extremely rude manner, they will not be receiving permission.
Does anyone know the university they're attending so I can make a formal complaint?

RE: Parent Satisfaction Survey
Wow how was this rude? Im just trying to get participants for my study and when I was posting, I saw nothing saying I needed permission. Sorry for upsetting you so much...maybe in the future you can make your requirements more clear, or you can just keep handling things in this manner, which doesn't seem to be helping anyone. Peace out!

I don;t see how removing a link and telling you in the post that linksa re not allowed without asking for permission is "handling things in this manner" and worthy of wow.
Perhaps you could have taken a mature tact and said, wow, I am sorry, since I am a purported college student, I could have, should have "researched" (ON THE home page) how to properly go about things.
A post grad - or someone completing a masters degree should ne aware of procedures. Similar to posting flyers at someones store window..do you just do it or do you ask?
(I don't see anyone is "upset"- just being consistent.)
I would add that "Sorry, with a but after it means you are not actually sorry - As per Dr. Phil (LOL)

Out of curiosity - where is your National University? There are people here from all over the world, so it's best to avoid being parochial and take a wider perspective.

The contents of the survey itself were rather offensive (asking about ABA here of all places?), and you did not read the sticky threads saying in very clear terms no research, or the sticky thread in this section explaining what it is for. To top it off, you did a flyby spam on IRC.
In short, even if you had asked you would not have been given permission, and you should know better if you are pursuing anything serious in academics.
If you do have any integrity at all, I would like the name of your university (and preferably contact details for the department to prevent wasting time navigating the uni's website myself) so this can be reported. Research ethics should be hammered into anyone pursuing a course that requires original research.

RE: Parent Satisfaction Survey
Jberke, I was not treated for my ASD and I thank God that I wasn't.
Genocide is defined as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, social, political, economic, intellectual, familial, genetic, or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."
