I hear stories from embalmers, etc that stuff dead people's rectums with cotton balls, gauze, tampons, even potatoes. GAK! And this is BEFORE they start embalming, not after to keep the embalming fluid in.


Once a nurse at a hospital took a drink from the fountain and noticed the water was red. She thought it was just rust. But it turned out that the morgue was 2 doors down from the water fountain and that the pathologists, when done the autopsies, had nowhere to stick the hoses connected to the autopsy slabs, so they had just stuck the hose head in the drain. Since the autopsy slab plumbing had two-way flow options, unluckily, the hose head sucked up used dissection-table water back into the water supply...
