RE: What did you do after high school?
Commercials usually work on the theme of a woman trying to encourage students to think positive for back to school, student responds with sour note. Periodically throughout describing the stores, student is psyched and replies with more and more enthusiastic notes. Punch line is though, when she asks about school, the student still blows a sour note.

Love bombing
Callista, you said you were in a cult, surely you understand what "love bombing" (or the less misleading phrase "friendship bombing") is. The showering of a newbie with love to get them to accept the religious group or at least the faith.
Guys, this will really make you see red. There used to be a practice called flirty fishing until AIDS really got going. These women would be fishers of men, well, it doesn't take a lot of imagination. They rarely had to actually "do it" but simply by being sweet talking and friendly you can accomplish a great deal if you're attractive. Maybe some of you are old enough to remember the first female flight attendants. Skinny nubile little sweet talkers. I think Airport 1970 is about as close as you can get to that historical image.
Even though female flight attendants are allowed to be a tiny bit heavier and much older, feminine sweet talking does wonders.
Tounge in cheek I'd call 1960s female flight attendants MILE HIGH AIRLINES because short of sexual activity (which might have happened off the record for a tip) it was an era of male business travelers and female skinny flight attendants before the Equal Rights Movement.
Hey Gidget, pour me another one!
Yes sir!
Callista I meant that in the context of "a woman who has a professional interest in saving people's souls and maybe has a career interest in social work" -

RE: Love bombing
In my case, she accomplished a lot. I stopped burying myself in books after a 4 year vacation from friendship.
I'm beginning to think whenever women take initiative they mean it for friendship (it's a shame he's studying too much), and when they mean it for love they want you to make the first move.

Did the Army pay for your education?
Genocide is defined as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, social, political, economic, intellectual, familial, genetic, or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."

RE: What did you do after high school?
My brain is mush after 4 years of not using it... at least the intellectual side... but I'm starting to use it again.

went to DeVry for electronics tech, dropped out half way through, spent about a month moping at dad's, then got a job at a factory.
Worked there for 14 years. Fired. Now I'm sitting here, with insomnia and nerves.

RE: What did you do after high school?
I just stayed home and kept working at the folk shop during the summer and then I went to Europe with my mother for three weeks. Came home and kept working and trying to find a job. I stay home and watch TV and do computer and write and play video games. I was bored because I had so much time on my hands while my brothers be in school. It was just weird never going to school and I had all this free time and living on SSI. Then I finally got a new job in June 2005 and started working. I worked close to full time. It was a fortunate someone decided to try me and see how it works out for me. I never told them I was getting overwhelmed and I felt I couldn't handle it because it was too much stress because I was told I'd be let go if that happens. So I dealt with those feelings and kept doing it. I even had meltdowns and anxiety and I survived.
Then I moved out in July and lived on my own for a year and a half and then I moved to Portland in Jan. 2007. I was with my ex and then we split up and I lived with my aunt and uncle for seven months. I got a new job that April and worked there for two years.
I met my husband in July 2007 and then we met on my birthday. We got our own apartment that October and moved in. We got married in June 2009 after being together for a year and a half. I got pregnant two weeks after our honeymoon and miscarried. Now we are in the process of trying again.
Now I am jobless and trying to get a job again but I am not trying that hard again like I was three years ago. I was just lucky to get hired. I have applied at other places in 2009 but no such luck. My husband doesn't mind me not working so I don't feel bad about myself. At least it takes the pressure off me trying to get a job.

RE: What did you do after high school?
I graduated from that craphole, and went to college afterwards. I'm happier with my education now, and I've never looked back. Good thing, too. High school was driving me suicidal some days.

I'd have to vote for multiple options on this poll... not sure which to pick.
