Exactly. Consider the source. The Iranian government has a lot to gain in their country's politics if they can distract the electorate by claiming wrongdoing by the U.S. Also, the more they stall by playing games like this, the more time they have to actually build a bomb.

It really isn't that difficult to produce a weapon if a state puts its minds to the task. Anyway North Korea and Iran have strong links so probably already been done.

Iran could well be lying, but then the UK and the US both told lies to get troops into Iraq.
They're probably all lying to a degree, but how much, about what and why?
