I really doubt I would have met the physical or mental health standards to join the armed forces. My eyesight isn't the best, even with glasses and I am a bit deaf in one ear. I also have trouble taking orders unless they make sense to me which would hardly be any good in the forces where unquestioning obedience is the order of the day.
