I happen to be a 23 year old male living with Asperger's Syndrome.  Diagnosed at age 11 or 12 I've lived with the knowledge of being autistic for over a decade and also because of an additional emotional behavioral disorder as well as puberty, I was given numerous anti-depressants to calm my wild mood swings.  Took them for three freakin' years twisting my mind in all sorts of directions, all of this pressure together having me seem like an extreme weirdo to others, socially ostracized, and I was very solitary and lonely much of the time despite having a number of friends.

Withdrawal symptoms where hell on earth and an unbelievable rapid paced torrential storm of emotional turmoil and chaos so hard to describe, you'd have to have been there to see it and actually went through it to understand it.  I lost much of the friends I had as a HS freshman and had an increasing amount of trouble dealing with my father as a result of a suddenly worsened economic situation in the US, if you know what I mean, and I had to deal with my ex-girlfriend not wanting as much to do with me because of my changing personality and I got caught up in an abusive friendship that reached a level I did not initially predict.

I managed the next year to make a vow to myself to bring up my grades in school to the level I wanted (or somewhere close) and gained a sense of pride in accomplishment until later that same school year I was screwed on my ACT, long story, and I lost my steam after that.

Now I still live at home but plan on more independent living in the near future and possibly college entrance.

Take note for AFF members that I happen to use noticeably vulgar language whenever I'm particularly passionate, excited, or angry but I'll try to refrain from typing them up! lol

PS As for the language - my kids tell ME off all the time, not the other way around. We argue about whether "crap" is vulgar or not (I say no!).

Thanks AS!  I appreciate that.  And I'll still try and refrain, but every now and then an occasional sh*t or f-bomb comes out.  With so much internalized anger from my past and being a naturally angry, stubborn, and emotional grump with a lack of concern for many consequences and a do what I want and say what I feel attitude, it just comes out! lol

By the way, for anyone who is bored and just wants to read a little bit more, my username is one that I've been using various places since 2006.  As it suggests I am a video gamer and an enthusiast for retro-gaming, mostly in the realm of PC gaming.  Yeah, at times I'll admit I can be a console hater.

Musically I listen to a lot of stuff including classical, soft rock, pop, alternative, and New Wave but listen mostly to hard rock, punk rock and heavy metal, especially nu metal, speed, thrash, power, rapmetal, classic era, some NWOBHM, and stuff like that.  I annoy the hell out of my mother with my playing of Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Axenstar, Dragonforce, Metallica, Megadeth, Trivium, and such! lol
