A reminder to everyone that this is the 16s and under forum.  I see a lot of older people here!

RE: handwriting

I used to have poor handwriting skills.  But now I can copy a font from a video game by looking at it a few times (not once, like those savants).  My typical handwriting font now comes from a combination of the fonts used in Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls and Final Fantasy VI Advance.  Although I still do need a little practise!

Whenever I visit the site, I just click 'View New Posts' and pay no attention to where they're posted. Maybe if it was a bit more apparent...

Really?  It's never happened to me.  I also thought you were allowed to use a word processor if the requirements for the project was that it be typed.  Plus it's easier to edit on a computer!

Sorry, my mistake. Clarification:
It's the requirement for HSC exams (and in class assessment tasks not specifically computer based) in the state of New South Wales not the whole of Australia. You can use word processors for take home projects and the requirements may be different in other states or curriculum stages.

Mine's pretty bad, but that's just because I write stuff too fast.

RE: handwriting

I have dysgraphia secondary to a neuropathy, so my handwriting has been terrible my whole life, it's always been too painful to write or color.  Now I  can't do it at all and MUST use a word processor except for making a signature, I can do that.

RE: handwriting

I have extremely illegible handwriting and I write extremely fast, and it has always been that way. I used to be a leftie, but binders drove me crazy because of the rings and how they're "made for righties" so I taught myself to write with my right hand.

I'm told frequently that I hold the pencil wrong, and it's true; I do. I've also been told I hold silverware wrong and pick things up in odd ways. My whole body is double jointed (I am not kidding- it is. Hands, elbows, shoulders, back, neck, knees, feet, fingers, toes and all.) and that makes it very hard to do things in conventional ways because my joints naturally bend the wrong ways. If you have a few miscellaneous double jointed joints it may not seem hard to do things, but when everything is like that you have to learn to do things differently. The upside to this is that I am very flexible and can freak people out with my joints!

RE: handwriting

I do type too fast though and so many spelling mistakes are made in the process.
