In one of my fact-finding forays into the web concerning visual integration, I came across a blog by the parent of an autistic child.  

The subject was visual stimming and calming, as her son has both hypo/hyper visual sensitivity.  She linked to a couple of toys - one for calming and the other a stim.

Browsing through the offerings in the special needs category, I found an old favorite of mine that I'll probably order for my 42 year old self.  The magnetic gyro wheel, a distraction toy.


I have no connection to this company whatsoever except that I'll likely be a customer.

loved those too - retro toys are back in style as I am seeing them in all our stores -

There's a lot of interesting stuff on that site.

I play with a Slinky as a stim... but it's now actually two Slinkies, because I've played with it so much that it broke in two.
