Aspie Quiz - final version (apparently)
Here's a link to the most recent version of the Aspie Quiz, and apparently the final version. I did this one recently and got a similar score to before, but I'm sure some of the questions were different. There's one about setting traps which I don't remember from before.

Your Aspie score: 123 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 75 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

That seems to be about the same as what I got last time. My bf/husband got an aspie score around 160 last time he took it, a year or more ago I think. Maybe I should get him to take it again!
I noticed that a lot of the questions I found hard to understand or answer properly in the past had been changed or taken out completely and were much better this time around. Over all I think there was a great improvement!

I couldn't post the picture (web access at work is a bit restrictive) but it covers mostly the right hand side.

I'm not sure what *label*(or even if there is one!) that would fit me prefectly....
I do have some unusual mannersims and habits, my most notable probably being that I love the sound of certain unusual words and will use these in conversation where most wouldn't. I am a natural empathic, an HSP, and go into meltdown when stressed or anxious. I enjoy company, but only for limited periods, and crave/need regular time alone. I prefer the company of other eccentric/unusual people, as I feel more comfortable with them. I have been bullied and never had many friends, as I always felt more gentle than the majority of those around me.

Looking at that it seems hard to believe that you had such trouble getting a dx, gahart111.

RE: Aspie Quiz - final version (apparently)
It took me nearly a year to get a diagnosis. I went through CLASS at Cambridge University. After my first visit I was told there was nothing wrong with me, I was just very shy. I wrote back (reluctanlty and with much pushing from my wife) and complained that I hadn't been assessed properly. So I went back again and saw Simon Baron-Cohen himself. He diagnosed me with AS, and yes it has made a big difference.
I work as a teacher in a secondary school, I now know why I start to loose myself towards the end of the day, and why I need desperately to destress before I think of leaving work. They have tried to leave the ends of my days free now to make it a bit easier, and are continually asking if anyhting else would make it better for me.
Oh yea, and it also make me the official expert on all things AS and HFA related.
