Nope, I got to help set up Fireworks for a show, unfortunately,(or, rather, fortunately, depending on who you ask) I didn't get to set them off.  When I got home, my brothers and some of the neighbor-people-kids were burning the "evidence" of their own 'show' in a metal trash bin we inscribed our names on the outside of several years ago using sparklers.  They saved two sparklers for me.  The 'bonfire'(and I'm using the term loosely) was eventually put out with a garden hose.  I did light the Sparklers, four leaves, some bits of cardboard, a few dud Piccolo Petes, and several other things on fire.  The smoke was terrible, but I didn't mind.  It was wonderful.

Have you had Sprite with Grenadine?  And a Marsciano Cherry?  It may be too sweet for your taste, but, I don't object.  Mountain Dew on the other hand, has too much sweet at start.  Sprite has a lighter flavor, as well as being less 'syrup-y'.

Can't say as I ever have. I don't really plan on it either, I hate sprite. Far too sickly, and rhymes too well with 'shite' to be entirely trustworthy.

Funny coincidence... walking to the train station on Wednesday I noticed that the nearest pub to where I live (5 minutes up the road) is called "Grumpy's".

I'm not a big fan of sprite or mountain dew either. But sprite DOES make a reasonable substitute when I can't find any tonic to go with my gin.

142857: A few days after my son was born a bar opened up on my aiunt's street with the same (first) name as him! Or I think my aunt moved there and the bar was there before. Anyway, it's interesting.
