I prefure not to get involved in arguments however.
By responding to an insult it will only cause the other to defend their actions, causing you to feel more insulted which creates an endless cycle.
The most effective way to win an argument is to be the better person by not responding because then the person throwing the insults gets bored and starts acting civil. Even if what you say is really important and you think it will shut the other up, it is human nature for someone to defend themselves, so it won't silence them.

The website is now offline, you can all thank Rosco for his ongoing harrasment.
You might feel very pleased with yourself for this attack, however it severely weakens our case against Autism Speaks. Not everyone in the world will have read this thread and know it is "Rosco's fault", everyone else will just see it as proof that Autism Speaks was right to threaten legal action or think you are a silly child making everything up to get attention.
I assume you don't want this and was just unaware of the consequences of this decision.

Okay I've read through this thread and I basically think (regarding the social situation here):
If you (this goes for anyone involved) want to actually manage to be constructive, now is not the time to sit around forming personal grudges about each other's manners.
If you don't like the way someone said something, just drop it and keep doing the actual work. If you don't like the way someone responds to the work you're doing to assist them, just realize that people dealing with the sort of crap going on right now are under a lot of stress.
If you're going to do the right thing here, don't expect to be appreciated (or not to be appreciated), just do it. If you really don't care what people think, then if someone responds in what you view as a snippy or insulting or immature way back at you, just don't respond. Don't let it bother you. And certainly don't drop what you're doing just because you got your feelings hurt.
There are things going on that are bigger than your personal grudges, bigger than your feelings, and bigger than whether you happen to like someone. If you really want to work on them, then work on them regardless. But don't do some kind of half-measure where you'll do the work only as long as other people respond to the work you're doing in the right way. That stuff doesn't matter in the long run. Autistic people being allowed to criticize autism organizations without being accused of copyright violations does matter.
So think of what matters and forget the rest. This is the sort of thing where there's no place for pettiness, personal offence, and hurt feelings at people's wordings, if you really want to get the job done. If people can't get over themselves enough to do the right thing when it really matters, then all of us are screwed.

Actually I'm not pleased but I'm not going to be bullied into complying with someones impolite, imature and childish tactics and have those tactics represent my hard work.

Also if you take your website down and link to the profile of a poster on a politically based website, it makes us all look bad. It makes AFF look bad.
