RE: What time is it where you are/and day of the week/and weather/ and season?
In Jakarta it is hot season. And 10am. The temperatures are not much different year round, low-to-mid 30s during the day and mid 20s at night (celsius), but this is the early rainy season and it is very muggy. So just walking up the street raises a sweat.
We didn't get a dry season this year at all, towards the end of the dry season there is usually some yellowing vegetation around the place but this year everything was lush and green the whole way through.

It's 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon here in Oz, current temperature is a pleasant 28 degrees celcius and we've got the air-conditioning unit going full-bore to keep the inside at around 23 C (so glad we can use the AC without environmental guilt, seeing as we now manufacture all our electricity renewably!) The sun is belting down outside, and the whole garden is humming with life and energy. I'd say that Heaven would be like this, but I'm agnostic, so I'll just enjoy it while I can!

It's 12.22 am, Saturday, in Glasgow and it's snowing! Glad I got those wee sledge thingies the other day, because I won't be able to get the car out now. Should've parked at the bottom of the hill.

Oh! Just noticed the newish posts on this thread!
Today is Monday - it is morning and it is one of the first mornings in a long while that it is under "freezing".
It is 30 degrees farenheit in New Jersey, East Coast near the ocean in USA.
It is sunny - but cool. The season is almost winter - Winter is officially beginning on December 21st.

Monday, mid-morning, in Glasgow and it's snowing again after a bit of a thaw over the weekend. About 1C the last time I looked.

Aye, well, it is still the most violent city in Western Europe, I think. But, looking on the bright side, when we're not stabbing each other, we're very friendly.

I've never been there, but I'd like to visit one day; the paternal side of my family (Wallace) comes from there. My maternal side (MacKinnon) was apparently somewhere on the coast, Kintyre I'm told.

The only thing I know about Kintyre is that you can see Ireland on the horizon if you stand on the coast. I don't know what the weather's like there. Anyone on this site who comes from or knows of the area around there? That's another place I must go visit when I go globe-trotting.

"Mull of Kyntyre" by Paul McCartney (1977) comes to mind since I've read this. It's a great tune; as most of his are; but lesser known compared to his other hits. The bagpipes are very imposing. I beleive Mull of Kintyre is where Paul McCartney lives; or lived at the time he wrote the song.

I grew up on the mainland east of the Kintyre Peninsula. I don't know it well, but it will have a typical West of Scotland climate, ie, warm and wet! The warm waters of the Gulf Stream mean that the West is warmer than the East coast and it is not uncommon to see small palm trees growing - even in the North.
"Warm" of course, is relative, and you'd no doubt find it very cold compared to Oz. It is beautiful and I'm sure you'd enjoy it. Loads of history and folklore too.
Don't come in the winter! Last winter, and this one so far, have been extremely cold. It was on the news that the Army are being brought in tonight to help rescue people who've been trapped in their cars on motorways for over 12 hours because of the sudden snowfall this morning. O.O

monday evening, getting close to 7 pm. 31degrees at the moment going down to about 15 tonight, very chilly. The only thing we are missing is the snow Europe got last week. And the mountains got plenty of that.
I'm not anti-social; I'm just not user friendly

Yes, I believe he did have a farm in that area. The Mull of Kintyre is at the southern end of the peninsula, but there is also an island called Mull (where I went at Easter) and with the popularity of that song the islanders were surprised to find that their Mull suddenly became popular with tourists!

I'm practising my swim strokes at the moment: big swathes of this Wide Brown Land are now flooded! The last ten-year drought has broken spectacularly, and whole townships and inland cities are inundated.
Even here in Canberra, one of my favourite comic stores was flooded, we went there yesterday and the owner was desperately trying to dry the floors, with all the comics stacked up high off the bottom shelves. She lost a lot of her stock - boxes of comics that were stored on the floor have to be junked.
The Riverina where I grew up is apparently a soggy quagmire now; it used to be an oasis in the desert. My sister, who still lives out that way, is getting ready to evacuate if they have to as the water rises. And it's hot there: 40 degree days for the past couple of weeks.
Although it's cooler here in Canberra, we're at the beginning of the Australian Alps, so it's always a little colder than the rest of Australia. But we've still had the aircon going pretty steadily over the past few weeks.
My house is sitting on a hill, so we're okay. I don't think we'll be flooded here. But it's scary. We're far more used to droughts here, and bushfires. So much water is intimidating.
