I believe in the theory that we tend to find what we are looking for. So, a lot of "professionals" find AS in boys because they look for it, they don't find it because that it is there. Vice versa, the same "professionals" find all sorts of things related to girls because they look for it - but is it really what is there? That's basically bad science and it is bad for the persons who get the diagnose. The diagnose should be based on objective evidence as opposed to "I think" and "I believe". Any diagnosis you receive should hopefully be based on thorough analysis of data, otherwise who would want to be admitted to any hospital or institution?
