AP Exams.
So I have Advanced Placement tests in English and European History on Thursday and Friday, respectively, of this week. Basically, an AP course is a university level course you take in high school, they they give you credits based on how you perform in the test. These tests are extremely hard.
The AP History test is first a multiple choice test on your knowledge of 600 years of history across an entire continent, then a document analysis test and an essay based on a topic they give you.
The AP English test has a multiple choice sections which mainly tests your ESP, then a creative piece and two essays.
On the bright side, this means I have a good excuse to do basically nothing but study history this week, which simplifies my plans quite a bit.
Anyway, this is going to be extremely hard. Wish me luck.

RE: AP Exams.
...English Test tomorrow morning. Worst case of test nerves I've ever had; I'm at least half as nervous as I ought to be. What really bugs me is that you don't know the essay question in advance, so you can't be sure the novel you're learning is even half appropriate; also you can't really read novels on short notice to refresh your memory. Thank God for SparkNotes.

One down, one to go. Helps that I have unlimited time (they won't give me a computer, though.) Diagnoses are good for something after all, apparently. Also my math teacher let me postpone my combinatorics test till after the exams when I actually have time to learn combinatorics.

Hey why couldn't you get a computer???? The AP people allowed me to have one...but it was because of my JRA...

RE: AP Exams.
Weird; I was definitely told a computer was out of the question. Of course, I didn't really need one, but I would have preferred it as I type four or five times as fast as I can write, and it also would have made the marker's job much easier. Although I guess they must be used to bad handwriting, since the essays have to be written in about 40 minutes each. Not many people write neatly with that kind of time restriction.
English exam went pretty well. I'm not sure, but I suspect I did exceptionally well on the multiple choice (which I'm not allowed to talk about EVER, apparently) and my essays (which I'm not allowed to talk about for a few days, which must be the limit of modern time travel technology) were pretty good. I kind of rushed at the end; I didn't pace myself because I didn't have a time limit, but I didn't take into account that I can't focus on writing essays for much longer than 2 hours without a break anyway. Ended up going about twenty minutes over, maybe a bit less.

RE: AP Exams.
Whoa, congrats! I got a 4 on the AP European history exam, which is probably mainly due to exceptional guessing on the multiple choice, especially considering that I barely did two of the three essays, due to handwriting speed mainly.
I don't think I could ever do that AP English Lit, considering that my memory for a novel is usually between three days and a week, then I don't remember the plot and stuff unless it's being triggered. I've read much of the AP English Lit reading list books, too, so definitely understand what you mean by not being able to read all of them right before the exam.
Fortunately, in high school for regular classes I've had a lot of opportunities to type, considering that handwriting is very painful and sloppy, often illegible if I have to keep it up much (on one practice SAT essay I did in class for a grade, I only got two sentences in).
