Satire Comic on Having Asperger's

I drew this comic today when I was ticked off at something.

I just want to give everyone the heads up before reading this. Don't take this comic the wrong way. I am NOT trying to offend or make fun of people with Asperger's Syndrome in anyway. It's all about me and how I feel Asperger's Syndrome has treated me most of my life. That's why I'm in the comic. It's just my general feelings of how I don't have the social life that I wished that I had and how Asperger's Syndome has made me make bad choices in life.

Well, here it is. And again, please don't take offense to this comic. It's more of a poke on myself and my fusteration on having Asperger's Syndrome.

Eric - saw your comic strip...by the way - people can and do relate to you - but only those that are worthy of your intelligence and talent, the rest aren't worth worrying about.

Okay cool. One of the things that I do in my comics is express myself in a humorious fashion. Sometimes I worry a lot about offending people even though the satire target is really at myself. Wink LOL

RE: Satire Comic on Having Asperger's

I found the comic funny but I don't really see Aspergers as a horrid little monster that makes you paranoid, but I'm not offended ericc just before you start worrying about it.

I'm thinking of making an internet comic about three lads with Asperger Syndrome and how they cope with it. Im going to call it 'Asbergus' because that's how most people pronounce the condition.

RE: Satire Comic on Having Asperger's

Once I thought up with an idea for a web show called "Aspergia" which was about 4 guys with Asperger's Syndrome that lived with eachother in a college dorm. They are always getting angry at eachother and each time one of them or all of them fell in love, they would mess up and get carried away somehow. Almost like a Three Stooges sort of thing. I later dropped the idea because of a lot of reasons.

  • I really didn't have much creative energy to keep the idea going
  • I felt in some points that it was making fun more at people who had it then the illness itself and I really didn't want it to look that way
  • Had better ideas for projects

But then again, I could clean up the project and maybe the creative juices of the project might rise again.

RE: Satire Comic on Having Asperger's

I didn't mention that on Aspergia, the 4 guys think that they weren't human and feel different from everybody else and so they would normally get into social situations that somehow back fire on them.

So I guess I wasn't knocking on Aspies too much, I think that I was ticked off at myself and my foolish mistakes that I just toke it upon myself and split myself into 4 different characters or aspects of myself.

Yeah, know it's all coming back in my memory now. Well, I thought up of the idea early this month. LOL Tongue
