I've noticed a lot of you really like anime. The question is: Who's your favorite Anime Girl or Girls? And make sure you have a good reason other than the fact that she is sexy-looking (if she's sexy-looking, that is).

What is an anime?

I think he means Japanese animation - I think that the Japanese might have a problem with the letter 't' e.g. Pokémon for Pocket Monsters.

Mybe this is a bit OTT,but...:
I saw and interesting cartoon once,I thingk it might have been Japaneese,but im not sure.
I saw an interesting move once about a girl,i think she might be looking for a family or something,I cant remember.
She walked through a tunnel.
She met a witch with a lot of rings on her fingers.
She did at some point in the film have company of a tall ghost,I think.
She had to choose between three alternatives to find her parents,I think,and I think she chose non of the alternatives and she got her parents back...?
I would be greatfull if anyone could help me out with the name of this film.

This film is amazing!

I also liked 'Kiki's Delivery Service' and 'Howl's Moving Castle'.

There are many more wonderful films in the 'animé' section of our favourite video rental store.

My kids told me that they prefer, on dvd, to have the sound set to the original Japanese, and have sub-titles. I also found it much better than listening to the dubbed version.

I remember that i felt that way to.
I used to watch a cartoon Jam and the hoolograms as a kid and when I heard it in my native language,the movie suddenly seemed a lot more dull,even though there was a lot of great things about this movie.
I think i might have watched a film called Silver-moon,anyone heard of that one?
I just saw it on a tv-channel one of theese days and something about it seemed familiar.

Ooh, Ed from Cowboy Bebop! I've always hoped they'd make a new series...

Of course, it would have to be set ten or so years on to really work.

Unfortunately, I don't know enough about all the characters or the names of the various shows to really say. I know of Sailor Moon and all the other planetary girls but they seemed a bit dizzy to me. Elfen Lied is pretty but too violent for me (though she can't help it). I liked the show Azomanga Daioh but can't remember the names of the characters. Looks as if I'd have to ask my anime-loving younger daughter to tell me some of the names when she is in a good mood.
