I was amused that right after you posted this, we got another GuessWho post about "the homosexuals" when I have told him that referring to gay people as "homosexuals" is usually obnoxious and that it's the preferred vocabulary of homophobes.

I believe after I explained that to him (how long ago?) he said "I hear you" -- but his persistent use of the term tells me who he's really hearing.

I think that over here to say 'I hear you ' means:-

I meant to say that there a wide latitude of matches for any given individual, like me.

It may be hard for many women to keep up with me or put up with endless veiwing National Geographic, Discovery Times Channel et cetera.  

There has to be something in it for the two of us, something we both like.

Think of it like proximity fuse.  The shell explodes if it is close enough.  If you wait for a direct hit, you will always miss.  That is why they invented the thing, jacked up the kill ratio.

I may employ ignorant terminology because I've never been there.  But I believe in peace and love.  In fact, I have done both better since converting.  Odd.

Maybe from where you sit Max it seems I am full of myself.  But I did earn a Master's degree and I did indulge my intelligence very deeply over 37 years.  I think it is an open possibility that at least a few of the women (or teenage middle school and high school classmates) I met did not think they could keep pace with me.  I am not sure maybe one or two said as such.

Or maybe it was a nicer way to get rid of me than saying I was a social cripple like Clive Thompson said of Bill Gates in that WIRED article.

Taken out of context, when Samson broke his ropes off and took the jaw bone of a donkey and killed the Philistines who were expecting to kill him, I suddenly thought of that email and being the attention getter I am, I said, "that is a weapon of *** destruction".... heckles, chuckles.... back to Samson in I Samuel.

Samson is not a very Godly guy.  He gets honey out of the belly of a lion and eats it when Nazarenes are supposed to avoid unclean stuff.  He loses a bet and kills 30 men for their clothes to pay the debt.  He burns up a wheat harvest with torches tied to foxes tails (11th Century BCE Fox).  and also, Mom and Dad, get me that Philistine woman.... and later, Delilah.  (Kind of vulnerable in his manly part, like I am vulnerable because I am lonely, like a few of us)

He finds God as an afterthought, but he knows God exists.  "God, give me water so I do not die...." there is a spring of water, and in next week's study, Samson knocks down the temple with another prayer.
