Back to school means meltdown time. I try to put off going to bed because that way I can put off that dreadful moment. Not a good idea, I'ĺl be less patient in the morning.

I asked my son what could be done to make school better for him. He told me it would be better if the teacher made a joke of everything she taught. Then he'd remember everything better and he would not mind having to sit in the class. Somehow I can't see that happening...

He is not an outdoors person. But I remember myself at his age: sitting in the class, thinking: what have I done to be condemned to sitting in here, when I should be out there climbing a tree or something? I was not bullied and had no problems with the work. I just couldn't understand why I wasn't allowed to be outside, where I should have been. And he has more problems than I ever had, so my heart goes out to him...
