Theme for 2007 - suggestions please
Looking for themes for 2007, these will then be put in a poll, which will show the favourite and it will be declared by end of september.
Any suggestions from previous years can be brought up again too.
2 basic ideas from me so far -
"Autistic Pride Day - proud of our culture and community"
"Proud to be different"

I liked the suggestion for 2006 "There is no cure for being yourself"
Problem with that is if someone doesnt know its referring to a cure for autism, would it make sense to them?

i kinda like this one, almost as a defense of the word "pride"... to explain it to people like me who were not sure about the whole "pride" thing.
it's a little long, but does that matter?

Well it could just be the second part without Autistic Pride Day at the front.

I like this one because many people still do not know that we have a culture and community. This will help to make them more aware.

Yeah and i think it needs to have the word autistic in it, so that people know which culture/community.
so ignore my comment about it being kinda long, because it makes more sense long...

I always liked the phrase from an old Cat Stevens song: "there's a million ways to be, you know that there are"
(talk about long  )
Maybe shorten to "a million ways to be"
I donno if it's clear, but it has a nice ring to it.
Although maybe it was more fitting for this year's Neurodiversity.

Ooohh, how about that one from that T-shirt design by Indigowombat- there's a thread on it here somewhere....
Anyway, the phrase is "Every brain is beautiful".
