I post on this forum, on average, about 30 times per day. Every time I do so, I am brought to the "Full Reply" screen. (I do not like the Quick Reply box) In the "Full Reply" screen, there is an option that reads:

It is normally "on" (that is, responses generate automatic e-mails). I am here often enough to not need this feature, so I prefer to uncheck the box. I am usually very attentive in doing this. However, given the number of times per day that I post, a few "mistakes" have slipped through. As it turns out, every mistake results in an e-mail being sent to me for every reply on a given thread.

And, every day, my inbox is filled to the brim with AFF spam!

There is no option on the User CP to turn off this feature on all posts. Normally, I would simply mark the e-mails as "Spam" and be done with it. However, I am uncertain if that would interfere with administrator attempts to contact me. I did notice that the e-mails appear to come from an automated mailer. I could backtrack and report the offending posts, but because I do not know which posts are the ones responsible for the spam, I would have to report all of the posts that I have ever posted on a given thread. My best option appears to be labeling the AFF e-mails as "Spam" and hope that anyone who needs to contact me uses a different e-mail account.

I would appreciate any advice on how to deal with this situation.

Control panel...subscribed threads.......remove all

also: Control panel...edit options.....uncheck: automatically subscribe to threads. May help

Add a filter rule in your inbox - have it automatically send email from AFF to a folder.

I sympathise, by the way - I have some 34000 unread messages from the AFF Mailer - and that's just the unread ones!

When I first joined, I had that problem too them I edited the options and I don't get any anymore in over a year.

Just uncheck them sending an email for receiving PMs, auto-subscription to threads, etc.
