I just got an Underworld CD album; Second Toughest in the Infants this past Saturday when I walked into a Salvation Army Thrift shop. This is a 1996 recording. The CD jewel case was in deplorable condition, but the CD wasn't scratched and the inlays were fine. So I bought it for $1.99.
Today I transferred the CD and inlay to a new jewel case and I listened to it for the first time. It is awesome.
Does anybody here at AFF like Underworld? I beleive Underworld is better known in Great Britain than the United States. I have the Beaucoup Fish CD album (1998) that I inpulsively bought in 1999 at Newbury Comics when the "Cups" (first) track was being played. Beaucoup Fish is an excellent CD as well. Until now, that was the only Underworld recording I had. I'll probably by more Underworld in the future; budget permitting; when I see such recordings.
"Cups", "Kittens", "Snake Fighting" and "Bruce Lee" are probably my favorite tracks on Beaucoup Fish although just about every one of them is good. Alot of Underworld tracks are very long. The first track on Second Toughest in the Infants is actually a three-part medley ("Juanita/Kiteless/To Dream of Love") over 16 minutes long. That is probably my favorite on this album.

I heard of Underworld, I like his work, along with Daft Punk and Booka Shade (even though both of those duo groups are of their own unique different style). He has a way of captivating the listener with the way he does the beats, the music and has great ways of making the visual mental image come in handy.
I like his work.... I even have a couple mp3's I bought of his music as well...

Borders is still having its going-out-of-business (liquidation) sale. Yesterday evening I stopped there. I came across the Underworld "Barking" CD album and bought it. I'm listening to it right now.

No one mention 'Train Spotting'?. I thought that was their springboard to popularity (in UK). Classic film. Only have the 'Born Slippy' CD single, but have a vinyl single from early '80's called 'Doot Doot'. They were in the guise of 'Freur'....which was just a symbol and preceded Prince's attempt at being known as a symbol. I think the dress style was a take on '70's glam rock meets new romantics.....

Neat.....just that's the one we seemed to end up watching every weekend so it sort of stuck.
