i had problems with that one, i wrote it at least a month ago and the only solid idea was the chorus which at first had different chords and didnt really fit anywhere, the verse riff was originally for something else. i was proud of the lyrics and for a long while i was scared to put music to them incase it didnt do justice. it goes between 6/8 and 4/4 time, i tried a few takes trying to do the whole thing in 4/4 verse and all but it just wasnt working. in the end i just did the guitar in one take and just went for it and hoped for the best. hopefully after a few listens it sort of makes sense.

the chorus is obviously the important bit, its the bit which kind of explains more what the verses are actually talking about, and i found that slowing down and pausing a bit before going into it seemed to accentuate that a bit which worked for me. im a very messy guitarist, precise repetitive playing is something i find extremely hard even with simple stuff, the notes are all there but they just tend to come out as they do.

(sorry, that doesn't sound good to say cool about general misery and all that... but cool to your explanation) knowing that helps me visualize the intensity in a less visual way.. second guessing, especially constant... can sap all of one's strength - must feel like well like you said in your song...

it's not meant to be a sad song in that way. it's happy and sad depending on how you look at it. people used to make fun of me for writing depressing stuff so often now i title songs that way for a laugh. i always try to find humour in things like that.

hey i'm a music tech student, this is what i'm good at. been using it for years although it is not really designed for music production, as great a piece of software it is considering it's free. i do all my effects (aside from compression) externally, i use audacity mostly for mixing.

it's all self produced. i do guitars and vocals and program the rest. i have the multitrack recordings which are just unmastered versions of what you hear on soundcloud/reverbnation. no other musicians, apparently no one around here is interested in making forward thinking and adventurous guitar music so what can i do. live all i can do is with the acoustic guitar for now, i hate it but i'm stuck with it.

where are you intending to go with this are you wanting the stage or album/s

ultimately i want to get a band going, to perform music such as this for the masses, because i think it's good music, and there are people who agree.

that was actually an acoustic piano, recorded with a microphone onto audacity. i had to filter it quite heavily as there was a lot of background noise, normally one would close mic both the keys and the inside of the piano together but i only have one microphone, no mic stands and there was a lot of stuff on top of the piano so i couldn't open it. i just had to point the mic at it and hope for the best. the other parts were done on the electric guitar...
