Maybe you aren't a fascist:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

Quote:
the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism, statism, militarism, totalitarianism, anti-communism, corporatism, populism, collectivism, and opposition to economic and political liberalism.

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - Ian - 11-17-2007 03:15 PM

Wheras Corporatism is a Country/Government dominated by either a group or even a single corporation ;p

This thread is mostly intended to ruffle some feathers Tongue the results will be very interesting.

There used to be a self proclaimed fascist here. He doesn't post anymore. I think his name was Tiger of Malaya or something like that.

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - Victor13d - 11-18-2007 02:21 AM

I'm not exactly a fascist but I believe in a state with a strong military and internal defense system, capable of rounding up political dissidents and criminals. While at the same time I believe that the people have the right to decide what leaders they wish to have in power.

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - Ian - 11-18-2007 03:06 AM

That's more or less my view, Victor Smile

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - Sat_Chit_Anand - 11-19-2007 12:49 PM

Fascism can be useful where you have a population which is trapped in superstitious belief and where the infrastructure requires modernization.

Examples include Peron's Argentina and Mextaxas's Greece.

I am a national anarchist, but I prefer fascism to capitalism and communism.

er...we ARE Political Dissidents....
so under fascism,we would be "removed".

i am not a fascist,i hasten to point out.if anything,i suppose I'm a bit of a Commie :p

Its where Asperger's came from the Third Reich. It was indeed part of the eugenics program. Its a good job we won the war or did we. It would seem maybe we didn't win after all.

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - ῦ - 11-19-2007 03:14 PM

ah,Welcome Autistic_Shoes! (can i call you shoes?)

it would seem that we are picking up where they left off,60 years later.

and in both cases, they thought they where helping...

oh,when will they learn!

It's good to see somebody else that has their eyes open. In their case they were helping the Reich. They were actually hunting psychopaths for monitoring. Now with individuals like Mr Cho in America at Virginia Tech we are potentially on the list next down from terrorists. The law's only just been changed in England to allow sectioning.

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - Sata Andagii - 12-11-2007 11:48 AM

By 'fascist', do you mean specifically 'authoritarian'?

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - babuyagu - 12-11-2007 12:49 PM

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - Ian - 12-11-2007 01:08 PM

*hits babyagu with a rifle butt* wort wort wort!! >3

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - Sata Andagii - 12-11-2007 01:36 PM

Thought so.Smile

There are times when I feel, politically, we need order, and then there are others where I feel it would come with too high a price (Watch Children of Men to see what I mean).

I'm somewhat chaotic about my views.

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - Ian - 12-11-2007 01:37 PM

Order is good.

My Ideal society would be a Corporation (run by me and maybe some trusted types ;p) running the show.

I think it would work well.

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - ῦ - 12-11-2007 01:50 PM

I'm guessing, as a Hojo type, that i would be among the few, eh Ian? Tongue

I don't believe in Democracy anymore, it's a hollow, exploited sham. I feel that, under the right person, a dictatorship could actually be a wonderful and benevolent thing. It would take a wise and honest person to do it, though. Someone who cannot be bought or manipulated.

I have a sci-fi idea, where Earth (The Earth Republic) is governed by a semi-technocracy. A council of 9 elected administrators, working in conjunction with an AI named 'Praetorian'.

Do you think something like that could work?

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - Ian - 12-11-2007 02:02 PM

..No. Tongue

Corporate Governance is good in my opinion, because..how many times do Governments "*** up" ? and how many times do Businesses "*** up" ? do the math mate ;]

Say you got msn? I notice you live in Cov.

Ian

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - Ian - 12-11-2007 02:37 PM

Ian

I wasn't on about your business.

And, just to defend my thought... I personally *do* believe it could work, given the technology is advanced enough. A system of Government with a rational and incorruptible AI to act as conscience and guide for the minds of humans. Not to rule them, but encourage them to seek a higher sensibility. Just because we have corrupt politicians now, doesn't mean that we will never have honest ones who succeed.

I mean, corporate governance?? Come on, you really want to be even more of a product?Big Grin

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - ῦ - 12-11-2007 08:14 PM

ah, you refer to a Technocracy?

RE: Any Fascists here? :P - IlluSionS667 - 04-28-2008 11:48 AM

I'm a strong supporter of conservative revolutionary thinkers like Oswald Spengler, Carl Schmitt, Martin Heidegger or Julius Evola as well as modern movements like the "New Right" and national-anarchism. If you leave out the antisemitism, the supremacism and the repression of ideas, I believe the Third Reich would also have been a very interesting system : socialist, ethno-nationalist and autoritarian.

Would you believe me when I say that I used to be an anarchist?!? Wink
