College-aged, student of environmental studies, with a possible focus on sustainable agriculture.
I'm politically and socially radical, tending towards social anarchism, democratic socialism, green politics, and parecon/parpolity. I support nonhierarchical free federations of autonomous, democratic institutions and/or municipalities, with a polycentric conflict resolution system and worker control of the means of production through either a market or gift economy. My favored revolutionary strategy is solidarity unionism, dual power, and revolutionary direct action.
I wish to abolish the gender roles, patriarchy/matriarchy, heteronormativity, exploitative property relationships, the State (as a hierarchical monopoly of violence) the concept of race, and the concept of neurological normalcy.
I consider environmentalism to be a social and ethical issue- the integration of a holistic ecological consciousness into every worldview, and the recognition of the intrinsically connected nature of humans into the rest of the ecosystem, with the end goal of sustainable and just societies. A scientific understanding of ecology and related fields, with a well-grounded sense of ethics, is the best tool to reach sustainability.
In addition to the obvious things I reject (social conservatism, heterosexism, hierarchy, capitalism, corporatism, etc), I reject vanguard parties, primitivism, 'deep' ecology, dogmatically antisocial individualism, conspiracy theories, and reformism. |
