[font=Tahoma]The <removed> Project UK , known as <removed> wants to actively involve the people it has been tasked to consult with in order to ensure their views are taken account. As the project officer I am keen for people to register  to take part in the  forthcoming  survey for Adults.  In the meantime I have a  survey for  parents and carers  of  chidlren and young people 'with' aspergers, which can be found  <removed>
I come at this as a  sibling of an adult aspie and someone also on the spectrum as you would expect.
Thanks  theres more on the  web site that tells you about  what I am doing  and why .....

Formal complaints have been issued to your sponsoring agencies regarding this matter.

For everyone else's information - the survey posted was not just unauthorised but clearly of great use to curebies. Thus, I am dealing with this matter much more seriously than I would normally deal with violations of the "no studies" rule.

Ok Gareth, I can see where you may be coming from   and I guess I will have to respond to your complaints now formalised.

However I think you might have given me the benefit of the doubt and  'frozen my post’ whilst exploring this with me? I still can’t find the stuff that sets out the ‘rules on the web site’ where is it????

I am not clear how you can come to the conclusion that this survey work is in the cure 'aspies' camp.   You have not looked or asked me about the parameters of the survey or my work. The project work is   about framing service responses around what people want rather than what can be provided to them, it’s about empowering people not curing or treating.

I suppose its not worth mentioning that this is a personal matter as well as professional one for me, that having grown up in a family where I had a brother with late diagnosis as Aspergers but lived through the family stuff plus recognising my own traits and their fit with the spectrum plus those of my other 3 brothers, my own children and other relatives.  I am only to familiar with aspects of Aspergers and the positive and negative bits. Don’t kid me that being an aspie is a  whole bowl of cherries all the time!

This is not just an academic exercise for me but about living and breathing aspects which both enhance and at times are a block to social life, employment, functioning etc.  Yes of course I/we /others can   develop both strategies and approaches for daily life, but not everyone can and for those who sink into depression and need support and help, plus of course parents and relatives who are often in a lonely place. Yes I know some of that support is not always helpful (putting it nicely), and it can be wrong, misguided etc, but that’s exactly what this project is about.

Anyway I have said my bit, if you wish remove me from the   forum and ban me, ok.    I guess I will have to respond to your complaints and I do apologise for the first bit ’getting it wrong, but you have got me wrong.   I sense you want to make an example of me but I am not sure why?   Best wishes Philip
