Most of us auties here have been treated with extreme prejudice. Some of us have even gone through some traumatising, emotionally scarring incident involving prejudice towards autistics.

However, I don't think that we should act that way towards NTs.
I have seen comments from many autistic people, rather vile comments, that ridicule and hurt NT's.

Recently, someone sent me a message hoping that I would agree with them. They had written to me about how NT's are all conformists. It offended my sister and I.

I have pride in my Autsm but that doesn't mean I have to be a jerk about it.

Now I doubt that a lot of people here think in that way. I'm sure many of you agree with me.

I just worry that there are some individuals who forget that neurodiversity doesn't just belong to autism and that NT's, infact, everybody should feel included as well.

Lets try to be a little nicer to each other, shall we?

I totally agree.... Aspies are not always the victims. I have seen aspies victimize NTs...  Its  a two way street and its best we use team work and get along...

check out this site it cracks me up it is so funny and a great example of aspie humor

It is closed minded to generalize NT's or anyone for that matter. And many NT's I've met are actually quite nice, All but one of my friends are Neurotyplicals. And I agree with Kurai-Gaka, lets be a little nicer and don't forget that Neurodiversity includes everyone.

unfortunately it's true, it's normal have a kind of resentment against those who treat us badly, but if we argue against them, isn't true that then we will be like them?? i have meet some NT' who accept me even if they don't know about AS and just think i am different, and also i met anothers who treat me bad, is always a mistake generalize and insult even subtly any group

To be honest, when it comes to soceity, it's an NT world out there. I don't like the way some Aspies think of NTs, and genuinely feel alarmed at the ones who openly disrespect NTs, since they feel smarter, more successful, superior.

I agree - I often see examples of NT bashing on the site. I think part of the problem is that it's hard for us to accept social networking (i.e. knowing which people to ask questions of) as a "valid" or "intelligent" method of working out solutions to problems, making us feel smarter. In reality both skills are highly useful - we just happen to prefer to rely on ourselves.

It's especially unfortunate, as we need the support of NT's to gain any sort of public recognition - For all intents and purposes, they are "the public".

ITS SO HARD TO HEPPEN, ESPECIALLY AT SCHOOL, ME, AN ASPERGER KID, DISCRIminated every day!

I too think it can be hard to be fair if what real life has shown you hasn't been fair.  I am amazed when people who have been repeatedly shunned are so good and brave to be open to giving the benefit of the doubt to the next person they meet.  I don't think goodness can be found if one is looking for bad.

I like this link, I think one very similar was posted once before. Why here Dogbrain?  Is it part of your sense of humor or irony?
