Land sakes, Letti! Do the youngsters know Mom's checking out YouTube?  Wink

Loved "Hello, I Must Be Going" -- now onward to "Lydia, the Tattooed Lady"...
I have really been getting into the "I like turtles" zombie thing on You Tube! A local news station was doing a report on a community festival, there was a kid dressed up like a zombie, he just stood there with a blank look on his face while the reporter was talking, until she asked him what he thought, he simply smiled and said "I like turtles", then went back to looking blank. The reporter was quite thrown, stumbled and said "All right! You're a great zombie! Good times...". almost laughing after recovering! It was live, so it went to air. You'd think people would say "Heh, that was a bit dodgy" and think little more of it, but it now has a big You Tube cult following, with remixes and recreations of the interview!

I love it, partly because it is just plain hillarious, but partly because all of the people who are making their own versions and remixes are analysing the short interview to the nth degree, which I find extremely appealing (definately an aspie trait). The more it's analysed, the funnier it gets for me! I've had a sore diaphragm for two days now because I've been laughing at this stuff so much!

The original interview (it's funny, but gets better after you've seen some of the remixes and recreations).

Another remix, very well done and funny, but somewhat less analytical.

And a mock interview

There are many, many more if you go searching through You Tube!
Is there a way to save favorite youtube videos to my PC?

The only problem is I can't submit ANY of my videos to YouTube because they all contain at least one copyrighted image. That blows, especially because I've been working on a series since June 14, 2007.

I break the copyright rule on YouTube all the time! I'm not banned yet...

I'm sure no one's going to mind if you use just "one copyrighted image". There is a such thing as fair use, after all.

That being said, I want to show off this MMV I made. It's Pokemon LOL. Comment on it and help feed my ego. (JK.)

And you have to watch Brookers' CRAZED NUMA FAN!!!! thing, but I'm too lazy to post the link here...

You know you COULD HAVE just changed your age...
Seriously? Well I'm glad I made myself 105 before it was too late, LOL. xD
Well, like DigiModify I don't really like to lie, but I was only twelve when I joined and you're supposed to be fourteen... so I just... made it 105, because then at least it was obvious that I was lying...

Hello...my name's Quickduck and I have a problem...

I seem to have become a YouTube addict.

Does anyone know of any clinics that specialise in YouTube dependence? I may need to seek treatment.

Oh, I could use a clinic like that.

Just as long as they don't make me delete my MV's!!! :O

I also seemed to have become a YouTube addict as well...

As of now, I doubt there are ANY clinics for YouTube addiction.

Considering the way The Psychologists are coming up with a name for every little quirk or challenge a person could possibly have, I wouldn't be surprised if it happens. At least for the Internet in general, if not YouTube. Smile

For those who play an instrument, especially the guitar, this video might be entertaining and educating. Steve Vai was not only Zappa's 'stunt guitarist'. In solo performances he shows his musical and technical talents to its best.

Ah, and in this video, the master Carlos Santana and his band shows rhythm and feeling just as intense. Special 'thumbs up' to the keyboarder by the way.

Finally, in the same series, Eddie Van Halen shows off some of his unique tapping moves on this video. He plays an entangling solo, interwoven with classical themes such as from the 'Iron Man'. Actually, this here version bears more spirit and creativity than its original.

Well, at least I awoke recently laughing after having seen these (overdubbed) performances (being a bassist and a guitarist...).

I seem to have a bit of a problem with YouTube: the clips keep stopping and starting. Is it normal for that to happen or is it because my computer is a little old?

Could be a problem related to the data transfer rate. Just pause the stream and give it time to download (you can tell the progress by looking at the red progress bar). If a sufficient amount of data has been transferred to your computer in a temporary file, you can proceed to play the video. This should work without interruptions then.
