What I find interesting about the guy who made this is that he seems to be against just about every group, whether they are for cure or not. He is paranoid.

"Someday, you'll be rounded up, locked up and cured for your own good. We can't have crazy people like you running loose."

Please tell me you are not taking that comment serious.  It is obviously just warped humor.  He's just trying to get a rise out of you, very sucessfully I might add.  The more attention you give him, the more he wins.  The wisest thing would be to let it go and never speak of him again.

I most certainly do not approve of bullying.  I also do not approve of the things in that blog.  However, you need to learn the difference between a real physical threat and a verbal joke.

I went over and read some of that blog.  I personally found it ridiculous and offensive.  Consequently, I choose not to go there any more.  I have better things to do with my time.

What I found disturbing is how frequently you have posted to that blog.  That man is messing with you and you keep giving him  material.  He is despicable, but he isn't going to round up people and cure them.

I did not see the blog/pics, but I will take everyone's word for it.

Rossco, all I'm hearing right now from you and others who I keep explaining this to is words to the effect of "Get over it". It's not important in the grand scheme of things etc etc. Now you ask for respect. That's fine. But as I see it you haven't been giving it - contrary to your claim otherwise. Well, until this post from which I'm quoting.

The only people I am giving a "hard time" are those who don't believe this petition is really worth it and won't sign it even though they are clearly offended by it, or they take the incorrect attitude that Best isn't important. Now individually maybe he's not - but that's not the point. That's why I said I'll be patient. Sometimes it's hard for us Aspies to think outside our own world as we see it. I know that - and that's why I keep explaining in general.

Anyway - the whole idea of this petition is to protect. OK, maybe I've said that before and I'm repeating myself. It's open to everyone to sign, not just us Aspies and any other ASD person who may be lurking around here. Heck, a number of my friends have signed it already and they aren't affected by an ASD person within their family at all. And only one has contact with them (aside from me of course).

So - if one doesn't believe Best to be a threat to them, at least take into account that he is a threat to others. Hence another reason for my explanations.

Joeker, I'm hearing you. Don't forget (and yes I've said this to you before) that I've known Best longer than you have. For the petition to succeed the way we want it we need as big a number of signatures as possible. You might not agree with my tactics and that's fair enough. The idea is to get people angry and want to act against him. And all that's needed to achieve that is the truth, which makes it easy to promote. It's just a shame (as I explained to Rossco) that not everyone can see that. Reverse checking statements (AKA explaining again) - in my experience - are the way to overcome that issue.

Beyond that - I'm not trying to force anyone. Apologies if anyone is feeling forced. That's not the intention. I'm just trying to promote understanding of what Best truly represents, and his power. Disempowering him would be more than appropriate - and the deletion of the blog would achieve that admirably.

Joeker, I happen to know that any mention of Best on the Hub's head blog (Left Brain/Right Brain - Kevin Leitch's blog) is discouraged. But there's no reason why you can't email him about it. Trouble is I don't have it handy right now.

There's also Neurodiversity.com (Kathy Seidel's site) and Autism Vox - off the top of my head.

Timelord,you have my support on the matter of the petition fully,but personal attacks just make the attacker look bad,and they just create a bad atmosphere.

So would I! Removal of voice would be the only one I could think of that wouldn't be breaking the law (otherwise one could go several ways!). His problem is that he is looking for someone to blame. There is no one. Autism is genetic in basis. (Number 2's) happens.

That's honest. Unlike Joeker's reference to me "assuming" people know things, when in fact there was no need to assume. I won't carry the argument from Joeker's blog over to here and explain what that means.
