I've been doing it for about 2 years now (this summer is my 3rd), and I'm a little unsure about how being an aspie could affect my career.  Basically, I work at a small and manageable pool, with at least 2 other guards a day; I've gotten the hang of when to whistle at people and what to say, and no one really gets hurt.  It seems like a pretty good job, but I'm not sure how the staff would feel if they found out that they had an "autistic lifeguard" working for them.  Not only that, but the reason this is such a small pool is because it's at a country club - not exactly a haven for acceptance of other people's differences.  If parents found out about my AS, I feel that all hell would break loose.
