Apparently, the recent murder-suicide committed by professional wrestler Chris Benoit was set off by an argument between himself and his wife over the care of their son, who had Fragile X and who had just finished kindergarten.

(yet another bit of info I learned through that nasty evil website I like to visit)
I don't think it had as much to do with his son as with the death of one of his best friends: Eddie Guerrero. In the video he cried uncontrollably, more than Eddie's brother. I don't follow wrestling but came across this video and you can see what it did to him: Watch from 2:48

You can see him change in that instant.
Here is the statement released: "There are additional reports that contradict the earlier information that suggested that Daniel Benoit may have suffered from Dwarf Syndrome or Fragile X Syndrome. Daniel's family denies that he suffered from either condition. As a result of the family's concerns, the Fayette County Sheriff's investigators and the District Attorney's Office have inquired into this matter. A source having access to certain of Daniel's medical reports reviewed those reports, and they do not mention any pre-existing mental or physical impairment. Reports from Daniel's educators likewise contradict the claims that Daniel was physically undersized. The educators report that Daniel graduated kindergarten and was prepared to enter the first grade on par with the other students."
It also showed some pictures of him with his son and he looked fine. They did talk to close family members and asked them about it. I'm sure they would know as well as Doctors.
You can't believe anything wwe.com says because they're trying to cover up that steroids didn't play a part in what happened. WWE and Vince McMahon will do anything in their power to make themselves look good and paint him as a monster. You have to take what they say with a grain of salt. Afterall, Vince is still alive isn't he?
Ultimate Warrior just discussed that the drug tests are phony and that tons of wrestlers juice up all the time. The WWE is a money making corporation. They are a business. Do you believe them or the school teachers and Doctors?
School teachers and Doctors know. Its hard not to notice if someone is "mentally challenged" or not at the level other students are. WWE is covering their *** because they could be susceptible to major lawsuits.
Benoit's wife's family could sue the WWE for millions if steroids are found in his system, because they have a "drug test". They'd sue for wrongful death or something similar and blame them. Before an announcement was even made the first thing Vince stated was that there were no steroids involved. He was thinking of his business first. Its okay to be a fan and enjoy the program, but you have to look at them as a business. I may think of my dog as a pal but in the end, he's still an animal and could bite at any time.
The teachers spend a long time with kids, its not as though they are with him for 5 minutes. You would definitely be able to tell if a child has something like Fragile X. Doctors would as well. Something like AS is a lot harder to diagnose but that wouldn't be.
Anyone could tell if a child has Fragile X. Do you know how disabling that is? I don't know why you continue to defend the WWE, do you work for them? The drug tests are phony. Its not a real sport, and so its not as if there would be "real" drug tests as well. So many wrestlers are juiced up and you can tell by looking at them.
Its possible that Benoit wasn't on a roid rage, but that doesn't excuse the fact that the WWE has them.
Steve Austin's wife said that he beat her so hard all the time on his roid rages and that when asked about it he couldn't remember. This was during the supposed "drug test" times.
If it can, Pakrat, it will come up in the toxicology report.
Just on that, the WWE lawyer handling the whole thing said on Larry King the other night that the reports are still a few weeks off.
I missed the actual show, but the recap I read showed that everyone pretty much thought along the same lines I did and still do. And it was good to see a current roster member (John Cena) being allowed to speak. Everyone else had nothing invested in WWE - except maybe for Chris Jericho who is rumoured to be making a comeback.
Chris Jericho is still employed by the WWE, it was a storyline that made him leave. He was there because he was Benoit's best friend.
I don't believe it was steroids that made him do it entirely, just that his son didn't have fragile x. Even Jericho was iffy about that. I watched the whole show on Youtube and all of those wrestlers invested time in the WWE. Still, nothing will definitely explain why Benoit did it. No one can look in his brain and see what he was thinking at the time.
Thanks Rossco, I appreciate that.
From what I heard on CNN, Benoit's testosterone level was 10 times the amount it should have been. That's high. My mum who is an ER nurse heard the report and said he was on a lot of steroids, and that could have contributed to what he did. I pointed out the bible thing and she said it could have messed with his thinking pattern for a very long time. We'll never know. All I know is that I don't need to apologize now.
Testosterone <> Steroids. So I have nothing to apologise for.
And Daniel also turned up negative so Kylo's right, he doesn't need to apologise either.
What I want to know (and we'll probably never know now) is what the heck was an ADULT depressant doing in Daniel's body???
I heard that investigations are continuing so this may well be an initial report only (which would explain why the WWE lawyer said on Larry King that the final report is some weeks away yet). Hopefully that final report will include a definitive yes or no on whether or not Daniel was Fragile X.
And that was rude as usual, Rossco. When I have EXPERIENCE in something that proves someone else is wrong, that does not make me the owner of this forum!! Sheesh!!
Are you saying that testosterone is not a steroid or did I misread your statement?
Benoit was tested positive for steroids. He had ten times the amount of testosterone (a steroid of testosterone, has to be injected) than the normal amount. WWE admitted that, saying that he must have taken the steroids after the test. Why do you still keep denying the steroid usage?
He was on steroids, bottom line. Testosterone injections are steroids. My father has been a Paramedic for 20 years, my mom an ER nurse for 18, I'm quite sure they know what steroids are.
I got both of their answers separately and they both said 10 times the amount is enough to make someone have a psychotic break for a few days.
WWE said it was steroids and that he took them after the test, the medical examiner said it was steroids, every single site you find will say testosterone injections are steroids. What more proof do you need? Really. Its like saying the earth is still flat. You're beating a dead horse here.
This will be my last post as that argument isn't really an argument. I have serotonin in my body, if I take ecstasy and it boosts that up by twenty times the normal amount, does that mean its not a drug?
