I just got through watching Howard Sterns hilarious & inspiring autobiographical movie Private Parts. Ive gotta say, if this movie's portrayal of his life and career is accurate Im just astonished not only at the outrageous things he said( which got him fired many times and kicked off the mainstream US media); but at his utter lack of social tact. I honestly have come to believe that Stern has aspergers syndrome; perhaps a very mild form of it but I really think he's a much better candidate than even Bill Gates.
The things he says certainly pose a direct challenge to social conventions but I refuse to believe that he is a "racist/sexist/mysogynist/homophobic....etc." simply because he crosses all social boundaries and isnt concerned about offending people or portraying himself as a 'good person'.
He is a talk show host, has had social interactions with thousands of people, all of which would be too much for someone with AS, and on top of that he's not afraid to take chances and he's a "shock jock", which is why he's offensive.
the reason why he's "offensive" is the reason why I admire the guy so much. He's not afraid to cross social boundaries and has no respect for political correctness
I see similarities in some of the things that Ive said here and what he says....the thing is that I certainly dont get paid for it. ahahahahahaha
S0 Batman55, just how exactly do you 'know your Howard'?
Hmm, well 7o'clock I think you very well might be right. If he is an aspie I suppose that some might think he makes aspies look bad. As for his comments its really hard to know whether he is simply trying to shock and outrage(as usuall

) or if he feels some anger & bitterness towards his ex-wife as a result of their divorce. I admire him for saying what he wants to say and what he feels like saying with no regard to social norms or what other people find acceptable. That doesnt mean I approve of every single last little thing he says though....
I dont care for Glenn Beck either. To me he's a lot like Rush Limbaugh.....telling certain segments of the population what they want to hear. He's not even funny.....Howard Stern on the other hand pushes just about
everyones buttons. Stern is a true individual unlike Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. I find it very *interesting* that men who do not restrain their sexuality are labled as "sexist" or "mysogynist".

Just today he had Denis Leary on his TV show
omg i love denis leary!!!
A-SS-HO-LE!! EVERYBODY!!! A-SS-HO-LE!!!
I Hardly consider Howard Stern to be manipulative Batman55! If he was he wouldve found a way to get himself back on the mainstream networks. Do you realize how much money he's lost by being kicked off the air by that FCC??
BTW, EVERYONE in his profession is money-grubbing; greed is very much a part of human nature.
I really dont see him as a narcissist. Why do you think he's a narcissistic? He's just crude, crass, & unhibited. I realize that women and political correctists hate that but that doesnt make him a narcissist.
With the 1st statement or the 2nd one? How is he a narcissist?
Just a reminder folks: This thread is about HOWARD STERN, Not Glenn Beck!
If you want to argue about Glenn then start a new damn thread.
CANT YOU READ?!? I SAID START A NEW FUCKING THREAD IF YOU WISH TO DISCUSS GLEN BECK! THIS ONE IS ABOUT HOWARD STERN.
Well I
Am the supreme commander of the (aspie)Universe after all........

Well I do think there should be more airtime for the far-left; I personally want to see the effing FCC disbandoned. I despise them for kicking Howard Stern off the air. I have been a supporter of the far-left before BUT what really drove me away from them is that they too have theire own set of social norms and they ruthless enforce conformity to such-JUST like the far-right! Neither extreme supports individuals like myself who dont conform to anyone's stupid social rules.
I'd like to add that I have ZERO PATIENCE AND TOLERANCE for political correctness. People often get offended because they choose to do so in order to start a catty fight. Its really all about social posturing. PC people dont know shit about the things the claim to believe in-they just aspouse views that make them look like a good person.
I'd
LOVE to see Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter on the televized version of the Howard Stern radio show
