My Aspie boyfriend retreats to the bed under his favorite yellow comforter.
mine is deffinatly my dvd's  and my bedroom
my Dog Big Grin
or my intarwebs connection....Tongue
I go biking, walking or play a computer game (not all computer games are good for distressing though).
I wrap myself in a heavy down blanket (no matter what the temperature), put on my headphones, lock myself in the dark in my closet (I liked the tight space), and rock.
Music helps me block things out... taking a nap helps as well.  When I can do it, getting out into nature and taking photos is a good way to calm down. Lately I've been trying yoga stretches as well which seem to really help.
I don't have a comfort object. When I get anxious I just go find a bathroom to hide in.
My three favourite things to comfort me whilst the lunar cycle is at its pinnacle, and the howls of the damned and damnable fill the diseased air with their sprrowful lamenting, are:

Going into the woods on my own, with nothing but my mobile phones, a couple of lighters, a quarter or so of weed, and a low dose of mushrooms, picking wild mushrooms for dinner, and harvesting my plots of woodlovers Big Grin

Listening to my g/f's music, or blasting out my favourite black metal tunes on my bass/guitars as loud as my amp will go, and indeed chatting online to my wonderful (aspie)  BABE of a G/F xD

Spending time in labs, pursuing my autie interest in chemistry and psychopharmacology.

A fourth one need be added:

Playing FPS/wargames, scifi videogames whilst blazing a nice fat spliff Smile
Wrapping myself up in my duvet - sometimes combined with rocking.

Snap! I have a lovely fluffy yellow blanket that mum bought me when I was 18 and horribly homesick. It has now lost a few tufts and I crocheted a yellow fluffy trimming around the edge when the binding got tatty but it's still in reasonable condition, considering.

I just started learning to use the nunchaku, and its a great way to chill out and lose some stress, when you get into the rythm of flicking over one shoulder, under the same elbow, then catching with the other hand, and switching to the opposite side, its good for the motor coordination too Smile

Although my coordination has always been alright, its getting better since I started practising for an hour or two a day.
Weights, heavy heavy weights.

That's interesting.  I thought I was the only one who liked being hungry.

Being in cold places. Or hot places. I dont feel temperature, thus, any chance I get to feel even mildly like that is good.
Yeah, I don't HAVE a lock on my door, but I always block it shut with my weights when I was some peace and quiet, for some reason, even if its late at night and I'm not expecting anybody to come calling, its psychologically a lot nicer if I know that I can't be disturbed by someone just walking in.
