I'm not Aspie but I am non verbal learning disability and I do have a favorite comfort thing. for me I think it's listening to music. Nothing specific just whatever song I want to hear, or whatever song is stuck in my head at the time or just what I'm in the mood to listen to. that and reading a book usually one that I've read before it's comforting in a way, it helps me relax and makes me fell like things will be okayu eventually.
FLUFFY FUZZY THINGS...my mother's bathrobe amongst them...
In my spare time I like to watch videos on the internet.

Mine is just hiding under the covers of my bed and going to sleep. Also ebaying hello kitty things because the color pink makes me calm and there are so many interesting hello kitty things out there, such as the hello kitty desk fan and the hello kitty hot water cylinder.
I also like drinking milk and when I get really, really upset I click my fingers alot and pull my hair out. I also like orange juice so if theres the smell of orange of satsuma around it calms me. Also, I like being hungry. Also, I like googling pictures of cats because I like cats. And when I am stressed I do algebra problems or recite Pi whilst under my covers.
Barenaked Ladies music, the sound and feeling of being in a vehicle, white noise, inline skating, reading, probably some other stuff too.
Oh yeah, I forgot, also fire. The sight, smell and warmth thereof. And high places and spinning.
I lock the door to my room to make sure no one interupts me, then I listen to some really personal music, mostly Neil Young or John Frusciante, doesn't matter if the music sound 'good' or 'bad', but when every part of a song feels totally honest, that encourages me so much.
I listen to Les Mis either in my car or on my mp3 player, or if I can I go to the river. I like hiding under blankets, and when I was moving in a couple weeks ago I had my mattress on top of my futon, and I crawled under there.
Oh yes, and I can't just -listen- to Les Mis, I have to sing along, sometimes very loudly
Also, I like being hungry.
That's interesting. I thought I was the only one who liked being hungry.

It's definately a stress thing for me, although it can start like that and then I just keep on...
My favorite "comfort thing" is taking naps (under my comforter) undressed because certain types of clothing irritate me. I also like just lying there, gazing out the window, sometimes staring at clouds breezing by....I also like cheese popcorn and Mist soft drink. Total silence is also great! Watching films is fun, with nothing to bother me, like ringing phones and screaming idiots outside.
Right now I like to wear my earplugs and and fiddle with my tropical plants or play WoW.
