There are some things that I'm waiting for to happen. Be it because I'm curious or that it could have a positive impact on my life; that it could take some burden off of my shoulders or the world's shoulders...

These are some of the things that I'm curious about and/or waiting for.

DSM-V; due in 2011.

A cure to stupidity; regardless of how it spells.

Peter Jackson to take on H. P. Lovecraft.

A way to disarm pedophiles permanently.

Little Green People to show up, under a microscope in some geneticist's workplace, and explain a few things...

-By the time the next DSM comes out, I predict they will have invented a label for every single person in the world...except the shrinks themselves.

-We could potentially "permanently disable" pedophiles by applying the death penalty - some US states, and some Latin American countries, are considering making it a consequence for people convicted of repeat felony child molestation charges.  Personally, I don't know how I feel about the death penalty morally, but I do know the idea of child rapists being executed doesn't bother me too much....the question is, is it civilized?

(Now, if the idiots who keep saying autism is a terrible disease that must be fought at all costs paid half as much attention to truly sick people like child molesters....priorities, folks!)

-The idea of Peter Jackson making a movie out of a Lovecraft story....awesome   (As you cold probably tell from my signature, special interest ahoy here.....Jackson could do a great job with, say, "At The Mountains Of Madness")

-Right now, I'm waiting for the (much-needed) rain to slow down enough for me to safely drive to the store.   Longer-range: waiting for the last Harry Potter book.
