Anyone know of anything on the subject going on in OK
29 dealing with asperger crazies
doesnt seem to be a real know issue here
I'm in northeastern OK.  I'm 44, female, married, kind of a non-typical Aspie, but "Aspie" is my counselor's best guess, that and "gifted" (blah....but, I do have to admit that the combination of the two is enough to make a person in our society so different that it's very discouraging).

I was the typical "Little Professor" when I was younger.

Post to me here if you want to correspond.  I don't have a vehicle, so it wouldn't be feasible to get together right now.

You don't happen to be Catholic too, do you?  I'm desperate to find other Catholic Aspies/HFA.

(It's ok if you're not.)

I agree, OK is NOT the state to be in for those of us who are:

a) not typical, in any way

b) becoming ok with ourselves being who we are and waiting on others to be ok with themselves (neurotypical or not).

I received a suggestion that we meet at the Riverlanes Bowling Alley for our next Meet-Up. I think that could work, but would like your feedback. The Riverlanes is at 8711 S. Lewis.

Also, note that we are meeting on the 21st this month. Does 3:00 in the afternoon still sound good for most of you? We can be flexible.

Hope you can make it! We will have some information to share, and as always we can look forward to the support and insight we get from eachother.
